Knowledge is a powerful tool. MV Foundation shares insights gained from its experience in combating child labour with delegates from across the world in hopes of making the world a safer place for children everywhere.
MV Foundation conducts the following field visits to various elements of the program to provide delegates with the opportunity of assessing the model for themselves. The field visits consist of the following modules:
● The Residential Bridge Course Camps to understand of their role
● Social welfare hostels, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV)
● Child labour free village
● Gram Panchayat and the community
● Government officials at different levels – the mandal, district and state
● Teachers’ Unions
● Trade Unions
● Child Rights Protection Forum members
● MVF RBC alumni
● Children who have graduated from the RBC and are currently in mainstream schools
● CRPF meeting
M V Foundation’s role is to provide technical support to the proposed programme by deputing one of its programme coordinators and extend periodic trainings to the programme staff and also provide insights on linkages with the government and the community.
Trainings and mobilisation support.
MVF will provide training on child rights and creation of child labour free zones. This training will build the capacities of the community and other child rights activists to be able to demand delivery of services and to be able to create pressure groups at all levels. Trainings will be conducted for School Management Committee members, project staff, teachers, gram panchayats and youth.
Monitoring and program support.
MVF Resource persons will support the field staff of partner NGOs in planning and development of strategies for community mobilisation.
