Shri.M Ananadam, Founder Chairman and Managing Trustee MVF
Sri M Anandam, (1919-2001) Chartered Accountant, founded M Anandam & Co., Chartered Accountants in the year 1943. Within a decade, the firm established branches all over Telangana. He practiced for more than four decades in the Income Tax Tribunal, Settlement Commission and with various Appellate Authorities.
Shri M Anandam also led an active life in politics for more than three decades. He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Council in the year 1957 from the Telangana Graduates Constituency. He was re-elected twice in 1962 and 1967. He became the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council during 1996-98.
He was also twice elected as a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and served during the period 1968-82. During his tenure he was a member of the Public Accounts Committee and the Railway Consultative Committees. He also served as the Treasurer of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee during the period 1980-83.
He had multi varied interests and contributed to the development of Sangeet Natak Academy that developed and patronised both classical and folk forms of music culture, art and dance.
He was the Founder Chairman and Managing Trustee of M Venkatarangaiya Foundation, which is today known nationally and internationally for its stand on child rights and its unique methods of bringing children to school. He was also the Life Trustee of Andhra Mahila Sabha and Secretary of Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital. He was responsible for transforming the hospital in to an important institution in the twin cities, giving medical care to all sections of society.
